I have worked in the construction industry for approximately 20 years, starting at 16 with a three-year carpentry apprenticeship. After qualifying, I worked for several construction companies, gaining experience in first and second-fix carpentry, extensions, loft conversions, refurbishments and general building works. I later became self-employed as a sole trader before establishing Focus Construction approximately eight years ago. Since then, I have managed and delivered a wide range of domestic and commercial projects, including new builds, large extensions, loft conversions, full refurbishments, conversions and planned maintenance works. My experience covers both practical construction and project management, including estimating, procurement, subcontractor management, programming, health and safety, building regulations and overseeing projects through to completion.
