1. About TradeSlides
TradeSlides is a marketplace platform that connects customers seeking building services with tradespeople. We are not a building company and do not perform any work ourselves. We facilitate introductions between parties.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use TradeSlides. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate job descriptions, locations, and budgets
- Communicate respectfully with tradespeople
- Agree terms, pricing, and timelines directly with your chosen tradesperson
- Leave honest reviews after work is completed
4. Tradesperson responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about qualifications and experience
- Only express interest in jobs you are capable of completing
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Hold appropriate insurance for the work you undertake
- Comply with all relevant building regulations and standards
5. Verification
TradeSlides offers a verification process for tradespeople. A blue tick indicates that qualifications have been reviewed. However, verification does not constitute a guarantee of work quality. Customers should always conduct their own due diligence.
6. Pricing
TradeSlides is free for both customers and tradespeople. We do not charge per-lead fees, subscriptions, or commissions on work completed. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features in the future.
7. Our role and your agreements
TradeSlides is a matching platform - we help customers and tradespeople find each other, but we are not involved in the work itself and are not a party to any agreement made between them. All terms of work, including price, scope, timeline, materials, and payment, are agreed directly between the customer and the tradesperson.
Because we facilitate introductions rather than carry out work, we are not in a position to accept responsibility for:
- The quality, safety, or legality of any work carried out
- Injury, damage to property, or loss arising from work performed
- Disputes between customers and tradespeople, including non-payment or non-completion
- Financial loss arising from engaging a tradesperson found through the platform
- The accuracy or completeness of information provided by other users
- The suitability or qualifications of any tradesperson, regardless of their verification status
We encourage customers to do their own checks before engaging a tradesperson - including verifying insurance, qualifications, and references. Our verified badge means we have reviewed the documents a tradesperson has submitted; it is not a guarantee of the quality of their work or their conduct on the job.
8. Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in abusive behaviour. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
