About TradeSlides
A marketplace for tradespeople and the people who hire them - without the middleman tax.
We built TradeSlides because the existing options take a cut from everyone. Customers post jobs for free. Tradespeople browse and pursue work at no cost. The platform stays out of the way.

The problem
Hiring a tradesperson is harder than it should be.
Most marketplaces are built around extracting fees from the people who do the work. That gets passed back to customers through higher quotes - and pushes good tradespeople off the platform.
Per-lead fees on every quote
Most platforms charge tradespeople £20-£50 just to send a quote, whether they win the job or not. That cost gets passed back to customers through inflated prices.
Listings that feel like ads
Directories push the trades that pay the most to the top, not the ones who are right for the job. Customers end up sifting through promoted listings instead of finding a good match.
Trust signals that don't mean much
Badges and reviews get gamed. It's hard to tell who is actually qualified, available, and nearby - or whether a profile is just a polished sales page.
How it works
Built for both sides of the job.

When a customer picks you, chat directly and arrange the work. No commission. No per-lead fees. Ever.
Verification
What the blue tick actually means.
Tradespeople can submit their qualifications and certificates when they set up their profile. Our team reviews them. Once approved, they earn a blue tick that's visible on their profile, the customer dashboard, and anywhere their name appears.
Submit
Tradespeople upload their qualifications, certifications, and a short profile bio.
Review
Our team reviews the credentials before approving. Nothing is auto-approved.
Verified
Approved profiles get a blue tick that shows wherever they appear on TradeSlides.
The blue tick confirms a tradesperson's credentials have been reviewed. It is not a guarantee of work quality - customers should always conduct their own due diligence.
What we believe
Four things we won't compromise on.
Free is the feature
Customers post for nothing. Tradespeople browse for nothing. We don't bury that, and we don't plan to charge for the core experience.
Trust signals that mean something
Qualifications are reviewed by a person before we award a blue tick. Ratings come from completed jobs, not from anywhere else.
Speed over ceremony
Posting a job, browsing leads, accepting a quote - everything is designed to take seconds, not screens of forms.
Mobile-first
Tradespeople are on-site all day. The swipe feed, the chat, the inbox - all built for a phone between jobs.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is it really free?
Yes. Customers post jobs for free. Tradespeople browse, express interest, and message customers for free. There are no per-lead fees, no commission, and no hidden charges.
How will you make money long term?
We're focused on building the community first. Future monetisation will be optional premium features for tradespeople (think boosted profiles or analytics) - never per-lead fees, never commission on jobs.
What does the blue tick mean?
A tradesperson with a blue tick has submitted their qualifications to us for review and been approved by our team. It is not a guarantee of work quality, but it confirms the credentials behind the profile.
How do you decide which jobs a tradesperson sees?
Tradespeople only see open jobs that match the trades they cover and fall within their coverage area. They can adjust both at any time in their profile.
What happens after I accept a tradesperson?
You'll see their contact details and a chat opens between you both. Arrange the work directly. Once it's done, leave a review so future customers can hire with confidence.
